1. Install the extension:
- In Google admin navigate to Devices > Chrome > Apps & extensions.
- Select the OU you would like to distribute the extension to
- Click the "+" button in the bottom right and select "Add Chrome app or extension by ID".
- Select "from a Custom URL" in the drop-down menu.
- Enter the details below:
Extension ID: epllmmoijmamnabpiimcipfpdoeeglkj Custom URL: https://ams3.digitaloceanspaces.com/screentrust-download-prod/manifest.xml
- Click "Save"
- Set the Installation Policy to "Force install".
- Click on the "Save" button in the top right corner.
2. Configure the extension:
- In the ScreenTrust Management System navigate to Setup Instructions > Chrome
- Click on the blue "Download policy for extension" button and save the downloaded
- In Google Admin navigate to Devices > Chrome > Apps & extensions, select the OU where the extension is distributed to and click on the name of the ScreenTrust extension
- In the details screen scroll to the "Policy for extensions" section and upload the file downloaded from the ScreenTrust Management System
- Click on the "Save" button in the top right corner.
3. Configured required setting to allow the Enterprise Hardware Platform API:
- Navigate to Devices > Chrome > Settings > Users & browsers.
- Select the OU the extension has been distributed to
- Scroll to the “Hardware” section,
- Change the option "Enterprise Hardware Platform API" to "Allow managed extensions to use the Enterprise Hardware Platform API"
- Click Save in the top right corner
The ScreenTrust Chrome extension will now be pushed to all Chromebooks belonging to the selected OU.
